Check back on August 14th for updates. The El Salvador team will be departing on August 14th and returning on August 22nd, in a faith filled adventure.
Our Church Partner in Mexico is called Templo Evanelico San Pablo www.sanpablo.org . Like us they are in the midst of a Building project, pray that God would provide the needed resources to complete the project, and that it would be protected in the stage it is in from the high winds and bad weather we are facing. Also pray for the Senior pastor, Abel Mellado as he leads the church through this season of ministry where they are building community among the people and integrating them to serve within the life of the church. Also pray for them as they hone in on their strategy to reach out to their community. Pray for our partnership to establish the discipline and consistency needed to really help one another and spur one another on in our visions for reaching our communities and touching our world.

As we come to the end of 2009, I am reminded of what a year it has been for our partners in El Salvador, they have come up against challenges, and live and work in a reality that provides little opportunity, yet they press on in faith and God is working through them to bring hope and healing into their community. There is much we can learn from their character, faith, and hope.
Let’s pray for them today and thank God for such amazing people to work with in this part of the world.
1. Pray for Pastor Miguel as he continues to lead El Buen Samaritano Inglesia. His desire is to see them be able to continue reaching out to their community and create a safe place for anyone in the community to come and hear about God’s amazing love for them.
2. Pray for Pastor Miguel and the church as they continue taking the lead on the “Water Project” in their community that will bring fresh/clean water to over 10,000 people in their area. Also pray for God to provide the funding necessary to complete this project.
3. Pray for our organizational partner in El Slavador called Enlace, that God would provide for them as they continue empowering churches to impact their communities in the name of Jesus, that God would protect their staff and give them wisdom with each church in each community they are working.
4. Pray for our partnership in El Salvador that God would work through it to continue to help both the church in El Salvador and our church here in the U.S. become even better at reaching out to our communities, that we would learn from each other and serve each other in a dynamic, God honoring way.
This summer 27 people went to work with our partner in the community, check out the video.

When you think of Vietnam, most people tend to think of communism, poverty, the war our country engaged in there in the 60’s …. But let me tell you God is working in Vietnam. We are privileged to partner with Promise Land Church in Vietnam, that was introduced to us by our organizational partner in Vietnam called Giving it Back to Kids. I want to encourage you today to pray for both our church and organizational partner.
Promise Land Church:
1. Pray for the ongoing training of leaders Pastor Vu oversees in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi.
2. On Sunday night 2,000 people accepted Christ in Hanoi, pray for the follow up of these new believers and that they get connected with a solid church.
3. Pray for Cong (in the picture with Scott Davis) one of the leaders Vu has trained who is leading a new and growing church in Can Tho. Pray for wisdom, provision and insight in how to continue showing and sharing God’s love in this remote part of Vietnam.
Giving It Back To Kids:
1. Pray for their staff and team as they continue helping bring relief and rehabilitation to those who have been impacted/wiped out by the recent storms, & floods, that God would give them strength, wisdom and would provide the resources needed to practically help these families get re-established.
2. Pray for Robert, the leader of this ministry as he travels and brings leadership and encouragement to the staff and people in Vietnam.
3. Pray for the ongoing follow up of all Giving It Back To Kids work, distribution of wheelchairs, life saving heart surgeries for children, work in the orphanages and with unwed moms, typhoon relief & rehabilitation … that God’s love would clearly be connected to all that is being done.
